Steps to safely have a controlled burn:

1) Verify the date for the fire is not during a burn ban

2) Check the weather for the day(s) of the controlled burn/ prescribed fire

3) Call MRFD Fire Chief, Larry West, at 573-247-9648  to notify him in case fire department services are required

4) Call the Dent County Sheriff at 573-729-3241 to notify them 

5) Notify your neighbors
